Ted Downward: Founder

Ted Downward, owner and managing partner, started Paradise Properties in 1989 with the vision of creating a one-stop shop for clients buying Real Estate here in the Los Cabos area.

Originally from Southern California, Ted moved to the Santa Cruz area on the central coast, working as both an electrical and general contractor.

With a love of fishing, boating and diving, he jumped at the opportunity to move to Cabo, not only to enjoy his hobbies, but to become involved in the newly expanding Real Estate market.

A resident of Cabo since 1984, Ted truly is a native. He was one of the founding fathers of the Los Cabos MLS, and has served on both the architectural committee and Home Owners Association for the Pedregal.

With his ever-expanding vision, the opportunity to affiliate with Century 21 seemed like the perfect next step. He looks forward to a successful partnership with Century 21 and to working with our clients to find them the perfect property here in Paradise.

Jim Gladgo: Managing Partner

Jim Gladgo, owner and managing partner, joined Paradise Properties in 2001 after a successful career in agriculture and construction.

Growing up in Southern California, he and Ted have been like “brothers” since high school. So it wasn't too difficult to convince him to join our team here in Cabo and, of course, the timing was just right.

Jim brings his managerial expertise to our sales force, along with a strong accounting background. He was instrumental in our affiliation with Century 21, and he too looks forward to a very successful partnership.

Dan Gibb: Sales Director

Dan Gibb, Century 21's Sales Director has recently rejoined our team.  Having always been in sales, Dan has enjoyed a diverse career. 

He left Arizona in 1990 to follow his dream of sailing, leaving a Health Insurance company where he had 38 agents working for him.  After sailing for 3 years, he and wife, Pat moved to Cabo and work in both Time Share and Real Estate until 1998, when he again left to follow his dream of cruising and to finish their 50' Cross Trimaran, which they bought as a bare hull.   

Now back in Cabo, Dan sees the Los Cabos area as an opportunity for all. It has the best weather in the world, the people are still friendly and you can buy oceanfront property for a 1/3 of the price in the US if you can find it.  U.S. Title Insurance and escrow services have eliminated many of the risks of the past.
